About Me
If I were to describe myself in one word, I'd say I can't. Honestly, nobody can tell anyone accurately in one word, right?
My career began at one corner of the flashy CNBC-TV18 newsroom in south Mumbai. Rolling the teleprompter for anchors was one of the first jobs my seniors taught me. It's not as easy as it sounds, though. The idea is to match the anchors' speed, and not everyone reads at a set pace.
If only I had a copy of the feed recordings every time they yelled at from the studios.
But I upskilled soon. From patching "phonos" to firing live graphics, producing outdoor live and recorded shows to directing flagship offerings, my stint at CNBC-TV18 was full of adventures. Something that taught me the value of being relevant, quick, and having an eye for detail.
My time at newspapers in Chennai was a bit relaxed, but they taught me where to put a comma and where not to put an em-dash. I continue to learn to write and rewrite from my stints at The Ken.
Something that's remained a constant through these newsrooms is my commitment to the profession. I'm dedicated, sincere, and professional, and I stick to the deadline. I take on pressure with a smile and try my best not to burn bridges at work.
